PPM Technologies launches Gen 3 FlavorWright all-in-one seasoning system
PPM Technologies, a member of Duravant’s Food Sorting and Handling Group, has released the third generation of its FlavorWright All-in-One seasoning system. The compact, portable unit combines liquid and dry seasoning capabilities in a single plug-and-play configuration for continuous coating of snacks, nuts, confectioneries, cereals, vegetables, fruits and frozen foods.
Enhanced drum technology for high-capacity applications
The Gen 3 model incorporates enhanced magnetic drum mounts designed to support high-capacity applications, particularly when processing dense products such as nuts. A new angle indicator enables operators to set drum position quickly and consistently. An optional bolt-on stainless steel drum provides increased durability and accommodates customisable flight configurations for high-temperature products, frozen foods and operations requiring metal-detectable components in product contact zones.
Operator safety and production efficiency improvements
Several design modifications address operator safety and production workflow. A programmable light alarm beacon delivers customisable visual alerts for system status, product levels and process conditions. Wiring routed through the frame supports safe operation whilst streamlining washdown procedures. The extended Mini VF infeed conveyor features new side guards to maintain product flow and reduce spillage. Optional forklift mounts facilitate safe transport within processing facilities.

Sanitation and changeover capability
The system offers IP65-rated washdown capability and food-grade materials throughout its construction. Quick-release components on both the seasoning hopper and plastic drum enable changeover in as little as five minutes, depending on the application. The design targets small to medium production requirements, whilst also serving larger operations requiring flexible R&D or multi-line solutions.
Metering options and system integration
Processors can select between volumetric or gravimetric metering configurations. The gravimetric option incorporates load cells for enhanced accuracy when greater precision is required. This allows processors to match control complexity to operational needs and workforce capabilities. The FlavorWright All-in-One integrates with upstream and downstream equipment via Ethernet or 24 V signals. When configured accordingly, it can monitor and control connected systems directly through the unit’s HMI.
Service and support infrastructure
The FlavorWright All-in-One seasoning system is supported by PPM’s global service organisation, which provides installation assistance, preventive maintenance and technical support. Remote commissioning capabilities enable setup, training and programming support via internet connection, eliminating the need for on-site visits whilst reducing service costs.
