Food safety and quality leaders head to Amsterdam for 16th European Food Sure Summit in June 2026
The European Food Sure Summit returns to Amsterdam on 9-10 June 2026 for its 16th edition, bringing together food safety professionals, quality assurance specialists and manufacturing experts from across the continent. The two-day conference will be held at the Novotel Amsterdam City Hotel.
This year’s summit focuses on “Food Safety & Integrity in a Digital Age – Proactive and Collaborative”, examining how the food industry can leverage digital tools whilst maintaining rigorous safety standards. Delegates will hear from senior figures at major food companies sharing case studies, regulatory updates and technical expertise.
Confirmed speakers represent major food manufacturers
The speaker programme features practitioners from some of Europe’s largest food businesses. Catarina Petisca, Global Food Safety Manager at Puratos, and Chris McCrystal, Global Head of Food Safety and Quality Assurance at Compass Group PLC, are among those confirmed to present. Additional speakers include Luiz Guedes, Quality, Health & Safety and Food Science Director at GBfoods, alongside Nia Owen-Cortez, Vice President Quality at Mondelez Europe, and Nur Altuğ, Head of Analytical Science & Regulatory at Döhler.
Conference format designed for practical knowledge exchange
The agenda covers key topics in food safety and quality management, with sessions structured to allow attendees to tailor their experience according to their professional interests. Beyond the formal programme, the summit incorporates dedicated networking periods throughout both days, enabling participants to connect with peers and engage with solution providers.
Previous attendees have noted the value of the event’s format. Feedback from a Senior Lecturer at Newcastle University highlighted the “valuable opportunity to meet up and network with both old and new contacts”, whilst a representative from Mintel described how sessions combining “wider trend picture and technical expertise” provided focused insights.
