Ingredion secures Top Employer status across UK, Germany and Asia-Pacific regions

Global ingredient solutions provider Ingredion has strengthened its position in food industry employment excellence, receiving Top Employer certification across multiple markets. The recognition, awarded by the Top Employers Institute, validates the company’s workplace practices across key regions including the UK, Germany, and several Asia-Pacific territories.

Corporate excellence

The certification, announced on January 20, 2025, marks the fifth consecutive year of recognition for Ingredion’s Singapore and Thailand operations, while operations in China, Germany, Malaysia and the UK achieved their third consecutive certification. India joined the certified territories in 2025, expanding the company’s recognised excellence in human resource management.

Assessment methodology

The Top Employers Institute’s certification process employs a comprehensive HR Best Practices Survey examining six primary domains. These encompass 20 specific areas including talent acquisition, learning and development, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and workplace environment optimization.

With annual net sales of approximately $8 billion in 2023, Ingredion maintains a significant presence in the global ingredients market, serving customers across nearly 120 countries. The company’s ope-
rations focus on transforming plant-based materials into value-added ingredient solutions for food, beverage, animal nutrition, and industrial applications.

Innovation infrastructure

Through its network of Ingredion Idea Labs innovation centres, the company employs over 12,000 staff globally. These facilities enable collaborative product development with customers, focusing on the integration of natural resources and technological advancement in ingredient science.

Regional implementation

The certification highlights Ingredion’s successful implementation of standardised HR practices across diverse geographical locations. Christophe Lange, vice president of human resources for texture and healthful solutions and commercial excellence and organizational transformation at Ingredion for EMEA/APAC, emphasised the company’s focus on creating an environment conducive to innovation and inclusion.

The Top Employers certification programme has recognised over 2,400 employers across 125 countries and regions, establishing a global benchmark for excellence in employment practices within the food science and technology sector. This recognition positions Ingredion among leading employers in the international food ingredients industry, particularly in markets where technical innovation and scientific expertise are crucial for business success.
