Plant-Ex establishes European headquarters in Poland

Plant-Ex Ingredients Ltd. has completed the second phase of its European expansion strategy with the establishment of Plant-Ex Europe in Wysogotowo, Poland, following its acquisition of Polish food technology company Aromacolors.

The new facility will serve as the company’s European headquarters for production, warehousing and sampling, whilst also functioning as a centre for regional innovation and product development in natural colours and flavours.

Seamless integration maintains customer service

According to the company, Aromacolors continues to serve its existing customer base with an enhanced portfolio that now includes additional Plant-Ex products. The initial integration has ensured uninterrupted order fulfilment whilst paving the way for expansion at the Wysogotowo site.

Expansion plans underway

The company has outlined plans to enlarge the former Aromacolors site to accommodate a modern product development laboratory and raw materials warehouse. Sampling and production for European customers will be consolidated at the Plant-Ex Europe facility, with the aim of streamlining services and reducing lead times across the region.

Plant-Ex Europe will offer comprehensive support from market insights through to customised flavour and colour solutions.

Company background and investment

Established in 2010 and headquartered in Avonmouth, UK, Plant-Ex Ingredients has grown from a single-person operation to employ over 130 staff across sites in the UK, Poland and Turkey. The family-owned company specialises in natural food ingredient solutions, supplying customers globally either directly through its own facilities or via selected distribution partners.

The company has invested more than £9 million in capacity expansionto support ambitious growth targets for UK, European and US flavour and colour solutions in the food and beverages sectors.
