TopGum launches high-dose creatine and electrolyte gummies for sports nutrition
Nutraceutical manufacturer TopGum Industries has introduced an eight-formulation Active Lifestyle gummy collection targeting pre- and post-workout nutritional support. The launch, presented at SupplySide Global 2025, centres on two flagship products: a creatine monohydrate gummy delivering 1,500mg per unit and an electrolyte formulation containing 100mg of mineral salts per 7g serving.
Technical formulation challenges addressed
The company’s proprietary technologies enable integration of challenging actives into gummy matrices whilst maintaining organoleptic properties and minimising sugar content. According to Eyal Shohat, CEO of TopGum: “While creatine and electrolytes have appeared in gummies before, they’ve rarely been delivered in truly potent, credible doses.”
The creatine gummy incorporates Creapure® creatine monohydrate, requiring four gummies to achieve the standard
6g daily dose. The formulation addresses creatine’s characteristic granular texture, which has historically limited its incorporation into functional foods at meaningful concentrations.
Electrolyte delivery system
The electrolyte gummies combine sodium, potassium, magnesium and chloride salts, with four units providing equivalent mineral content to 330ml of conventional sports hydration beverages. Jennifer Toomey, head of new product development, notes the formulation represents “the highest dose-per-gram of electrolytes available on the market” whilst balancing salt and sweet flavour profiles across three variants: lemon-lime, umami watermelon and salted cherry orange.
Additional formulations include a magnesium combination gummy and a caffeinated energy gummy delivering up to 40mg caffeine via TopCap™ microencapsulation technology, designed to enhance stability and bioavailability.
The collection offers customisation in the company’s Gummiceuticals format – a sugar-free, fibre-based matrix substituting prebiotic fibres for conventional sugars, providing clean-label positioning without artificial sweetening agents.
