Topos Mondial introduces digital cake doughnut depositor at iba 2025

Topos Mondial Corp. unveiled its new Digital Depositor at the iba trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, held from 18 to 22 May 2025. The equipment represents a significant advancement in cake doughnut production technology, with a digitally operated system that reduces mechanical complexity while improving operational control.

Technical specifications

The Digital Depositor’s design centres around minimising moving parts, with only two main components requiring maintenance. This reduction aimed to decrease wear, downtime and associated service requirements in high-volume production environments. The equipment incorporated a digital control system that managed cutting action and automatically adjusted for weight variations. According to the manufacturer, the system also provided “real-time compensation for batter viscosity changes”, addressing a common challenge in maintaining consistent product quality. “With only two main moving parts, the Topos Digital Depositor is more efficient, precise, and easier to use than ever,” a company spokesperson noted.

Integration capabilities

A notable feature of the depositor is its compatibility with existing production infrastructure. The equipment is engineered to integrate with current mobile carriers, allowing bakeries to utilise their existing cutters and plungers without requiring full system replacement.

The design includes automatic plunger-cutter oil lubrication systems and eliminated cutter clamps, which aims to reduce operator error.

Operational flexibility

The Digital Depositor offers multiple cutter-holding plates and includes programmable recipe functionality, enabling operators to switch between different batter formulations without extensive reconfiguration. “Enjoy effortless cleaning, maintenance, and batter adjustments—all at the touch of a button,” said the spokesperson, highlighting the system’s focus on operational simplicity. The manufacturer noted these features improve production consistency across varying product specifications, reducing waste and increasing throughput in industrial settings.

Market context

The equipment made its public debut at iba 2025, positioning it within the global baking equipment market. Topos Mondial Corp. specialises in mixing, dough handling and doughnut equipment, with offerings that include both new and remanufactured bakery solutions.
