Universum to showcase advanced dough processing machines at iba 2025
Universum’s range of pretzel rope and crescent rolling machines will be presented at the world’s leading baking industry trade fair this May in Düsseldorf, featuring solutions for craft bakeries and industrial production facilities with working widths of 60-80cm and capacity for dough weights between 30-400g.
The food processing equipment manufacturer Universum has announced plans to exhibit its comprehensive line of dough forming technology at the upcoming iba 2025 trade fair in Düsseldorf, Germany, running from 18 to 22 May.
Entry-level machine for diverse applications
Among the highlights will be the Universum LWT3 Compact, which the company describes as “a powerful entry-level machine for time-saving processing of crescent rolls, sticks, pretzels, plaits or other braided pastries.” This versatile machine exemplifies the company’s approach to designing equipment suitable for both small artisanal bakeries and medium-sized operations.
The LWT3 Compact offers working widths of either 60cm or 80cm in its long moulder configuration. According to technical specifications provided by Universum, the machine can process dough weights ranging from 30 to 400 grams, depending on the selected working width.
Integration capabilities for production lines
Universum has developed various infeed belt configurations to ensure optimal connection with existing bread roll production systems. This focus on integration reflects the company’s understanding of modern bakery operations where efficient workflow is essential.
“The dough ropes can then be processed using one of our transport tables,” the company says, indicating the modular approach that allows bakeries to expand their production capabilities according to specific requirements.
