Aloha Medicinals unveils FungiFuse mushroom ingredients for clean-label formulation
Aloha Medicinals has introduced FungiFuse®, a portfolio of functional mushroom ingredients designed for use across dietary supplements, beverages and functional foods. The Carson City, Nevada-based ingredient supplier unveiled the range at the IFT FIRST Annual Event & Expo.
Formulation challenge in focus
FungiFuse is pitched as a response to a persistent formulation problem: mushroom ingredients that compromise taste, colour or mouthfeel once incorporated into finished products. The ingredients are described as highly soluble and neutral-flavoured, intended to blend into ready-to-drink beverages, functional shots, powdered drink mixes and bars without disrupting sensory profile or manufacturing efficiency.
Four blends for four categories
The initial launch comprises four targeted formulations. Focus combines Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps and Chaga for cognitive support and concentration. Energy pairs Cordyceps, Shiitake and Lion’s Mane for sustained energy without stimulant crash. Daily is a seven-mushroom, beta-glucan-rich blend aimed at immune function and general wellness. Relax brings together Reishi, Maitake and Turkey Tail for stress balance and recovery.
Each ingredient is available in organic and non-GMO options, uses DNA-verified mushroom material, and contains no carriers or fillers, according to the company. Aloha also offers custom formulations and single-strain mushroom ingredients for brands with specific product development requirements.
