dsm-firmenich to showcase gut health and longevity science at SupplySide Global
dsm-firmenich will return to SupplySide Global 2026 (28-30 October) with an immersive walk-through installation exploring the link between gut health and longevity. Called “The Longevity Shift 2.0: The Gut Effect”, it will be at booth #6264 and spotlights the potential of targeted nutrition to support greater health expectancy.
Focus on gut dysbiosis
The installation follows the company’s first immersive experience at last year’s event. Andrey Khabakhpashev, Senior Vice President, North America at dsm -firmenich, said: “Last year, our first-of-its-kind immersive experience stole the show, challenging the industry to think about longevity in a fundamentally new way and ensure that our later years are some of the best. This year we are diving deeper into one of the critical hallmarks of ageing that holds great potential for nutritional intervention: gut dysbiosis. Promising research is revealing that the role of the gut microbiome goes far beyond digestion, with links to immune function, brain health, mood, and health across the lifespan. Together with our expertise across nutrition, formulation, and sensory innovation, these emerging insights can be translated into solutions that support greater health expectancy.”
The company said the focus reflects growing interest from the scientific community and consumers. Survey data suggest that 7 out of 10 consumers agree there is a strong link between gut health and other health areas. Based on attendance at last year’s event, visitors are advised to prebook a 20-minute slot, with walk-ins during the show subject to availability.
Age Slower on the booth
dsm-firmenich will also spotlight its Age Slower solution, showing how supplement brands can bring landmark healthy ageing science directly to consumers. It features the company’s life’s®OMEGA 60 microalgae omega-3 and Quali-D® vitamin D ingredients, the combination studied in DO-HEALTH, described as Europe’s largest healthy ageing trial. The trial found up to a 10% reduction in biological ageing over three years.
The solution is commercially ready and will be available on the booth, alongside the company’s wider portfolio. This spans market-leading microalgae omega-3 solutions, health and nutrition science, formulation, premix and sensory innovation.
Education programme appearance
Away from the Expo Hall, dsm-firmenich will take part in SupplySide Global’s education programme. Seletha Periman, Senior Director of Marketing, Innovation and Business Development HNC at dsm-firmenich, will join the panel discussion “The healthspan hustle: Developing in the longevity ecosystem” on 27 October at 4pm PDT in Islander Ballroom B.
Periman said: “New research and innovation are opening new possibilities for targeted nutritional solutions that help ensure we don’t just live longer, but better.” She added: “At SupplySide Global, we’ll showcase how dsm-firmenich brings together leading researchers, robust science across gut health and healthy longevity, and novel technical and sensorial innovations.”
She continued: “By connecting strengths from science through to application, we help brands create differentiated, scientifically substantiated, and commercially ready solutions that are enjoyable for consumers, and designed to advance preventative health and help people enjoy their later years to the fullest.”
