Euromed to present Mediterranean botanical extracts at Vitafoods Asia 2026
Spanish botanical extract manufacturer Euromed will present clinical data on two Mediterranean fruit ingredients, Pomanox® pomegranate extract and perFix® persimmon extract, at Vitafoods Asia 2026 (September 2-4), where the company will occupy Booth H6-K09.
The Mollet del Vallès-based company is positioning the ingredients against three drivers it has identified in the Asian nutraceutical market: beauty-from-within formulation, healthy ageing and weight management. Euromed describes its approach as combining Mediterranean botanical tradition with pharmaceutical-grade quality standards.
Pomegranate extract data on cellular ageing markers
Pomanox, a patented, standardised pomegranate extract, is being positioned for skin health and beauty-from-within applications. According to Euromed, recent clinical research has examined the extract’s relevance to healthy ageing, including biomarkers linked to cellular repair and longevity.
The company cites a randomised, double-blinded controlled trial assessing the effects of pomegranate extract on IGF-1 levels and telomere length in adults aged 55 to 70, published in Nutrients in September 2025 (Farhat et al., 2025).
Persimmon extract studied for body composition
perFix, Euromed’s persimmon extract, is derived from Mediterranean-grown persimmons and has been clinically studied for weight management applications. The company reports that research has shown the extract supports improvements in body composition, promoting fat loss while helping to maintain lean mass, with additional support for mood.
The underpinning study, a randomised, double-blind, controlled clinical trial examining a persimmon (Diospyros kaki L.f.) dietary supplement in overweight healthy adults, was published in Foods in 2024 (Pérez-Piñero et al., 2024).

Milk thistle portfolio also on show
Alongside the two fruit extracts, Euromed will also highlight its milk thistle extract range at Vitafoods Asia, including its Ethis-094™ and Silactive® standardised solutions. These ingredients are aimed at nutraceutical and pharmaceutical applications and draw on the company’s extraction, analytics and quality control capabilities.
